Becuase i recorded the video with my smartphone, the music itself have sound gaps. This happened, because the microphone of my smartphone is not able to record high tones. If you want to hear the song flawless, then try the music player below. The songs are recorded by an edirol device and encoded in flac.

I wanted to make a music box with my wife's favourite childhood songs. To finish the box, it took me about one year. To get all parts together and to write the atmega software. But finally the box can play several songs and it is also possible to skip songs. I added a noise generator to the play code, so that the songs will sound like a real old mechanical music box. I also made a small book that will list all songs available. Beneath i provide you with the songs recorded by my edirol recorder, and also some of the building steps in pictureated form.

Sorry for the bad quality and the background noise, there are some gaps in the music, because this recordings were made in a early version of my microcontroller code where the sd reading function did not work properly. I will make new recordings if i have time.
